Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Likewise. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Likewise Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Likewise", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Likewise mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

To use Likewise, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age. Users between 13 and 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
• Not have had a previous account terminated by Likewise for violation of these Terms.
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it up to date.

By using Likewise, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above eligibility requirements.

3. Your Account

Account Creation

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@likewiseapp.in of any unauthorised use of your account.

Account Accuracy

You agree to provide truthful and accurate information in your profile, including your name, age, and hobby stickers. Impersonating another person or entity is strictly prohibited.

One Account Per Person

Each user may maintain only one active Likewise account. Creating multiple accounts to evade bans, circumvent restrictions, or for any other reason is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Likewise only for lawful, respectful, and constructive purposes. Specifically, you agree to:

• Interact with other users in a respectful, kind, and considerate manner.
• Use the Service for its intended purpose: finding and connecting with people who share your hobbies and interests.
• Comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
• Report any content or behaviour that violates these Terms using the in-app reporting tools.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You must not engage in any of the following conduct on Likewise:

• Harassment & Bullying: Harassing, intimidating, threatening, or bullying other users in any way.
• Hate Speech: Posting or sharing content that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
• Spam & Solicitation: Sending unsolicited commercial messages, chain letters, or promotional content to other users.
• Impersonation: Pretending to be another person, organisation, or Likewise representative.
• Misinformation: Deliberately spreading false or misleading information that could harm other users or the public.
• Illegal Content: Sharing content that is illegal, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), illegal weapons, or controlled substances.
• Privacy Violations: Sharing personal information of other users without their consent, including photos, contact details, or location data.
• Platform Manipulation: Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to manipulate engagement metrics, flood the service, or scrape data.
• Reverse Engineering: Attempting to decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination, and where applicable, reporting to law enforcement.

6. User Content

Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create and post on Likewise ("User Content"), including photos, messages, hobby sticker choices, and any other material you submit.

Licence to Likewise

By posting User Content on Likewise, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable licence to use, host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

Content Standards

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You warrant that your content does not infringe any third-party rights, violate any laws, or breach these Terms. We reserve the right to remove any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these standards.

7. Intellectual Property

The Likewise name, logo, design, software, and all other content created by us (excluding User Content) are the exclusive property of Likewise Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using Likewise, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Likewise disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• Any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.
• Any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content on the Service.

Likewise does not endorse, verify, or guarantee any user, their identity, or their stated interests. You use the Service and interact with other users entirely at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Likewise Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

By You

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your profile and User Content will be removed from public view in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By Likewise

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in harmful conduct, or if required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before the new terms take effect. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
